UCI statement on UCI Professional Continental Team Manzana Postobon

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that the UCI Disciplinary Commission has decided to suspend the UCI Professional Continental Team Manzana Postobon (the Team) for a period of 45 days following the notification of two Adverse Analytical Findings (AAF) for members of the Team within a twelve-month period, in accordance with article 7.12.1 of the UCI Anti-Doping Rules (ADR).

Considering that the Team had recently announced its intention to cease all its activities, the Disciplinary Commission decided that such suspension shall start running from the first date to which the Team would register for an international race (if any), including if applicable, if this would happen following re-registration of the Team.

On 5 April 2019, the Colombian rider Wilmar Andres Paredes Zapata was notified of an AAF for Erythropoietin (EPO) in a sample collected during an out-of-competition control held on 27 February 2019.

On 14 May 2019, the Colombian rider Juan José Amador Castano was notified of an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) for Boldenone in a sample collected during an out-of-competition control held on 22 October 2018.

The UCI will not make any further comment on the case.
