The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and MyWhoosh announce that the 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships will be held on-stage in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) on 15 November 2025, at the world-class esports venue, Space42 Arena. The top 20 male and female athletes from the semi-finals will travel to Abu Dhabi for the final race, where they will compete for the prestigious title and rainbow jersey of UCI World Champion.
The UCI Cycling Esports World Championships will be organised in partnership with Abu Dhabi-based MyWhoosh, which is the exclusive platform and organiser of the event for three consecutive years (2024-2026). Through this partnership, athletes, fans and enthusiasts can enjoy an immersive experience that combines the excitement of esports with the spirit of cycling, contributing to the further development of the exciting and rapidly growing cycling esports discipline.
The 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships will once again be preceded by qualifying events and semi-finals, providing athletes from the world over with a chance to qualify for the live battle to earn the rainbow jersey in Abu Dhabi. More detailed information about the event, including qualification pathways and details on the format, will be communicated in the coming months.
Building on the success of last year’s UCI World Championships and with its ambitions to become a hub for top-class cycling events, Abu Dhabi continues to foster the growth of cycling. In addition to hosting the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, the city will also host the 2028 UCI Road World Championships, the 2028 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships and the 2029 Tissot UCI Track World Championships. Abu Dhabi also welcomed the 2024 UCI Urban Cycling World Championships last December.
