The UCI publishes the calendar for the 2023 UCI E-Mountain Bike Cross-country World Cup

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and WES (World E-Bike Series) Management Sàrl are pleased to publish the calendar for the 2023 UCI E-Mountain Bike Cross-country World Cup.

The eleven confirmed rounds will allow athletes to return to popular venues that have been on the series calendar in recent years.

The 2023 UCI E-Mountain Bike Cross-country World Cup will start in Monaco, with two rounds on 20 and 21 May. The third and fourth rounds will be held on 10 and 11 June in the Bologna region of Italy. After the summer break, the series will continue in Belgium at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps motor-racing circuit on dates yet to be confirmed. The next four rounds will take place over two consecutive weekends, in Girona (Spain) on 22 and 23 September, followed by Charade - Clermont-Ferrand (France) on 30 September and 1st October. The winners of the final overall classification of the 2023 UCI E-Mountain Bike Cross-country World Cup will be crowned at the end of the races on 21 October in Barcelona, Spain.

Each round of the 2023 UCI E-Mountain Bike Cross-country World Cup will consist, as has been the case since the launch of the series in 2019, of a men's race and a women's race.

The 15 best men and 15 best women in the general standings of the UCI E-Mountain Bike Cross-country World Cup as of 13 June 2023 will obtain places reserved for the E-mountain bike cross-country race of the first 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships, to be held on 9 August in Glentress Forest, Scotland (Great Britain).

The E-mountain bike is a bicycle that uses two sources of energy: human power and an electric motor that provides assistance when the athlete pedals. The motor has a maximum continuous power rating of 250 watts and stops providing assistance at a speed of 25 km/h.
