The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is pleased to announce that the first round of the 2023 Tissot UCI Track Nations Cup will take place in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, from 23 to 26 February.
This announcement follows the publication at the UCI Management Committee meeting in Wollongong (Australia) of the dates and venues for the second and third rounds of the series, which will be held in Cairo, Egypt and in Milton, Canada.
The events on the program for the three rounds of the 2023 Tissot UCI Track Nations Cup will be the same as those at the Olympic Games: keirin, individual sprint, team sprint, Madison, Omnium and team pursuit.
The men's and the women's programs will include the same events.
The 2023 Tissot UCI Track Nations Cup will play a decisive role in the qualification of nations for the 2023 UCI Track World Championships (3-9 August), which will take place as part of the UCI Cycling World Championships, the first edition of which will be held in Glasgow and across Scotland (Great Britain) from 3 to 13 August. The three rounds of the series will also count towards the UCI Track Olympic Ranking, allowing nations to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
