The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and City Mountainbike announce that the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Championships, which were due to take place in Palangkaraya, Indonesia, on 15 October, have been postponed due to forest fires in the region.
The fires around the city of Palangkaraya have impacted air quality, rendering conditions dangerous for sporting activity. It would therefore not be possible to guarantee the safe execution of the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships on the scheduled date.
The 2023 UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Championships will take place at a later date at the originally planned venue, and the new date will be announced shortly.
