The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and its partner Velosolutions announce that the 2023 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships, which were due to take place in Neuquén, Argentina, will now be held in Ötztal, in the Austrian region of Tyrol. The date of the event – 18 November – remains unchanged.
The 2023 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships will be held in the state-of-the-art indoor bike park at AREA 47, a theme park located at the entrance to the Ötztal, some 50km west of Innsbruck, which hosted the 2018 UCI Road World Championships and is the capital of Tyrol, a region which has held the UCI Bike City label since 2019.
The new AREA 47 bike park features a pump track covering an area of 1,000m2 and a pump track for children.
To date, 16 events – in 15 countries and on four continents – have offered riders the chance to qualify for the 2023 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships. The Last Chance Qualifier event will take place on 4 November at the same venue as the UCI World Championships.
