The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Discovery Sports Events today announce that the second round of the inaugural UCI Track Champions League, scheduled to take place in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (France) on 20 November, has been cancelled.
However, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines will return to the UCI Track Champions League calendar in 2022, 2023 and 2024 as planned.
The 2021 UCI Track Champions League will therefore comprise five rounds, starting in Mallorca (Spain) on 6 November and continuing through November and December in Panevézys (Lithuania), London (Great Britain) for two rounds, and the Final in Tel Aviv (Israel).
The riders’ final classification prize pool is unaffected by the cancellation.
The UCI would like to thank the organisers in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines for their cooperation in this exceptional situation, as well as the riders, teams and all parties concerned for their understanding.
